Anyone know this red 1995 zr1 from florida?

I bought this car from Copart it's a flood car. Got full length headers, aftermarket exhaust, cowl hood and Fiske wheels. Just want to know if any engine work has been done. I'm going to pull the oil pan to take a peak in a weak or two.

Sounds like a fun project. Engine turn over smooth still? I am assuming you have seen the Samcrac YouTube videos on his flood salvage ZR-1.

Just got it Friday and I have a car on the lift. I'll have it up on the lift shortly to pull the pan and see if it turns over. I did watch the Samcrac video. Interesting for sure.

Nice. Would be great to see pics along the journey of bringing back on the road.

Don't know it other than after it was flooded, it originally went for 13.8k on Copart out of Florida. looks like you got it for a decent deal considering the parts that we can see Those Fiske rims are worth some good money, I remember when people were getting them high rise hoods Toledo pro I think not even sure they are made anymore.

I wonder if it had anything done to the engine since it modified in other ways
I have dealt with flood cars myself but this has a Florida certificate of destruction how you going to get around that?

you dont turn the engine over until the possible flood contaminated fluid is out of the car.

Of course. Pulling the drain plug should have been the first thing done so there is no liquid sitting in the engine still regardless if you were going to turn the engine over. I would have pulled that before even putting it in a trailer. Pull the plugs too and let it all soak with penetrating oil in case rings are stuck too.

I bid on that car as well as another hurricane flood ZR1... if the engine is NFG let me know if you care to sell it.
