C7 wont start. Salvaged car rebuild

Hi all, i bought a 14 z51 7 speed salvaged from auction with front end damage. Car will turn on but won’t start. Says push clutch to start. Also show no fuel in tank. Can’t get in to ecu with obd2 reader. I have unplugged battery with no luck. Does the front wire harness have anything to do with this?
all fuses in trunk and up front are good.

Most definitely!

I'd suggest you get really comfortable with the schematics before you go any further with this.

The car shuts down after an impact. It has been 4.5 years since I put mine into the wall at VIR but I remember we couldn't get it started after the impact. Have seen the same on a couple of other C7s.

Just thinking out loud, but if the GMLAN is broken, the BCM can't find all the critical components for the engine start. Yes, I agree with Jeff V, you really need to get a good schematic set and become very knowledgeable with the starting/charging circuits.

Looks like you've got an awesome project ahead of you.

Good luck with the rebuild.

Best of luck getting this all worked out. Sounds like quite a project.

The forward frame rails have been cut off. I assume the air bags are blown. On top of everything else there is no cost effective way to fix this car. I own a Chevy dealership and a large body shop so I have access to equipment you might not, and I would not begin this project.

On the bright side, the belt tensioner will be easy to replace

frame horns are designed to be removed and replaced. it allows for the front to horns to get bent but not the frame. frame rack to tack them on and weld them up not a big deal. the shop I bought my rebuilt car from has a frame rack, paint booth ,lifts and does 4-5 corvettes a month.

Got her fired up. Fixed all the wires in the front. On to the next step.

Goonzquad boys did a Z06 rebuild a few years back . It has a lot of good information in rebuilding a C-7 .:yesnod:

Yep. Here's part 1. IIRC, the entire series was 8 or 9 episodes. VERY informative.

not surprised if a dealer won't tackle this as their costs for labor and overhead can be too high .... sounds like you're headed for success !
Good luck with this project!
