So I Got The Z06 Call Today..

From my Dealer. Want a Z06 at MSRP? I have an allocation January 25th.

Yes im thinking about it.

vabulldog 12-13-2023 10:04 PM

Your avatar is the Stingray you just got, right? Think you'd sell it or keep both?

sTz 12-13-2023 10:28 PM

Go for it! If you get a HTC, then you don’t even have to change your name

Well unfortunately it would have to be a base 1LT coupe. I priced it out at a little over $117K anything more would be out of the question.

Congrats on the call and good luck with your decision.

Thanks if it gets built it will be a very basic build. This is where I’m at right now.

Take the Z06 and run.

Driv200 12-14-2023 01:34 AM

If it’s affordable per your budget, do it. The Z06 is one special car….motor. Last of the greats and bound to be a car that’s talked about for years to come.

The Z06 is a special car, go for it if you are financially able to!

LIE2ME 12-14-2023 06:38 AM

I say, "Go for it!"...

I was in a similar situation- purchased by 23 Z51 2LT specd the way I want in May. In September my Z06 allocation came up. I didn’t want to lose $ on the Stingray and debated. Ended up taking delivery of my Z06 and sold the Z51.

Totally worth it and wouldn’t have it any other way. The stingray is a great vehicle, the Z06 is the best version of the Stingray. But the difference is night and day- it feels like it’s a completely different vehicle and you wouldn’t even know it was the same manufacturer if not for the obvious.

FANTASTIC!

The Z is definitely cool, but if you can't go for the htc, then I'd pass.
JMO.

I think I would consider it, but I would miss the side warning indicators absent in the 1LT. That should be standard on all cars.

The real issue is the amount of overkill on the street, the the Stingray is way too much car for the street and the ZO6 is even more overkill. Really, how much do we need to feed our ego with these cars? If you are a track type, then really think about it, even though I wouldn’t want to risk crashing that thing on a track. Buy a dedicated POS for that.

I love my C8....BUT the Z06 is a special car! A unicorn some might say. If you can swing it.......DO IT! the Z06 in ANY trim is one badass MOFO!

There is nothing "base" about a Z06.

This is what I have been thinking also. While I love that GM has made such a badass car available to us, I know I could not use it around here. The Stingray has plenty of performance for the streets, for me anyway.

Would I like to have a Z06? Hell yes!! Can I justify it to myself? Sadly no.

But to those that can, congrats.

So your going to get the Z06 before you ever get the build book you bought on your current C8?

dale fehrenbach 12-14-2023 09:53 AM

I really wanted another Z06, to replace my 2016 Z06. Six months ago, my dealer said $25,000 over sticker and a wait of 2-5 years.
Neither of those terms work for me.
So ordered a Stingray and took delivery last week. Still wish it was a Z06, but I’ll live with what I have. And no way am I interested in trading and taking a hit on my stingray. I’m just about 73, so this will be my last vette.
Congrats to the guys that bought the C8 Z06.

1LT??? You might as well be driving a Yugo.
Can you really stand the ridicule as you drive down the street with everyone laughing at your 1LT trim?
