WOW!!! I don't know why everyone doesn't cut holes in their hood to put those on, most certainly would make the engine last forever. Of course for only $19 a month..........

I prefer a Burmese Gas Snake. Does the same.

Post a picture of the instructions on the box if you can. I still can’t figure what kind of snake oil that stuff is.

Duck916 01-19-2024 11:52 AM

Those would work well with my 200 MPG carburetor, I think.

Same here, I can't figure out how it will be anything other than an exhaust leak.

These are listed on Fleabay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/355392017744

How would venting the exhaust manifold raise compression? Or clean valves and spark plugs? Seems like it’s bound to provide either an exhaust leak or if a one way valve inside, maybe a bunch of exhaust popping. I don’t understand. Snake oil stuff.

I toyed around with buying one of those Tornado devices 25-30 years ago - and then I came to my senses.:willy:

In the summer of 64 I bought some little propeller looking things from J.C. Witney that fit between the carburetor and the intake manifold. They would spin and work miracles for my 283. A week later I looked down in the carb and the little propellers were gone. Well, my old wore out engine just sucked them down. I have often wondered if years later someone removed the carb and thought, "what the Hell"!

I always found it better for performance to paint the car red and add stickers inside the trunk lid.

I remember the commercials for those Tornado gas savers! Too funny. I have no idea what that first gizmo does

Would be the famous "Fish" carburetor?

I believe the one that people claimed could deliver 200 mpg (and which was allegedly covered up by the oil companies) was the one designed by Charles Pogue. It's my understanding that no crazy claims were made for the Reece Fish carb.

I'd order one, but only if they have an infomercial with one of these trusted guys in it!
