2007 Z06, LeMans Blue, 11k miles, H/C/I, 3.90's, Sound System...

Up for sale is my LeMans blue, 2007 Corvette Z06. This car has 11,XXX miles on it. It features a build completed in November of 2023. Ported heads and intake (MSD) by Ironmask Airflow Innovations, a BTR Stage 4v2 camshaft, Kooks longtube headers/X pipe and an oem, NPP catback exhaust (w/mild to wild switch), tuning by Robert Williams, a 3.90 gear set installed by RPM Transmissions and a lot more. The car made 624 rwhp / 529 rwtq Std on my local Dynojet last November. The car also has a professionally installed sound system, as well as a simple, proven suspension recipe from Sam Strano for handling. See farther below for a detailed breakdown of the modifications.

This car is the definition of mint. The door jambs, under hood and hatch paint look new with a “jewel” like glow. There are no dings, dents, or scratches. The car doesn’t sit out in the sun and you can tell. The plastic, rubber, paint all look fresh and new.

The 3.90 ring & pinion makes the car drive like it has a much smaller cam, as the revs climb faster, making it much easier to get it moving from low rpms and improves low speed driveability. Rpms at interstate speeds are still quite low, allowing for comfortable, smooth cruising.

The power is amazing. It’s wild at how strong the car is, even at part throttle. The power and 3.90 gears go together well.

Hot starts and cabin heat are no problem as the starter, X-pipe and console have heat shielding by Dei.

If you want to leave the house early and don’t want to wake the neighbors or don’t want to announce your arrival at a nice restaurant, just close the NPP exhaust and the car is VERY quiet. With the exhaust closed, it’s nearly silent at interstate speeds.

The sound system is a blast and out of sight, as the amp and speakers are placed in stock locations. The head unit has Apple Carplay and Android Auto. There is a separate gain control for the sub, so you can bring it up/down to your liking. The sound is very clean and there is more volume available than you can use.

The car sees 150* oil temp before I go past 3000 rpms. It was tuned on 93 octane. Cold start oil pressure is: 70psi at idle, warm oil pressure is: 37 at idle. It doesn’t leak anything. It has a clean title.

My history with the car:

I bought the car in August of 22’ with a Lingenfelter 660hp kit installed. I quickly learned that the camshaft used in that kit (GT-21) is ground on Comp LSK lobes and can be hard on lifters and it also has 691/701 lift, which is a tough ask for stock rocker arms. It was shortly after that I decided to replace everything on top of the shortblock and start over. Doing my due diligence, I started researching and reading everything I could get my hands on, regarding who was making the most power and more importantly, who was doing it reliably. Ironmask Airflow Innovations seemed to be at the front of the line for making these cars run fast and reliably. I noted one other seeming corelation between a couple guys who had success for tens of thousands of miles, who used their cars, both doing half mile events and one also doing the Silver State Classic. The commonality was using the pricey, Katech ti moly, titanium intake valves. These were nearly double the cost of new Del West valves, but I went ahead with them. I had Ironmask work his magic on a set of stock heads, as well as an MSD intake (port matched as well). I went a BTR Stage 4v2 cam, as it had just been released and was said to be easy on valvetrain. I also went with heavy wall pushrods in the largest diameter I could, link bar lifters and dual valvesprings. Now, I'm not wealthy by any stretch, so in order to pull this off in a reasonable amount of time, I decided to get creative and do side work. I aerated lawns, mowed lawns, doordashed, ubered, detailed cars, trimmed bushes ect from March through August of last year. The car was assembled in late October and we finished tuning and dynoed in early November.
Reason for selling:

I take the car out on Saturdays for Cars & Coffee events, drives on windy roads and dinner dates with the Mrs. I’m 48 years old and have been playing with cars since 1996. It was street/strip Mustangs until 2022. I decided to try adjustable sway bars to see what that was like vs none up front and an anti roll bar in the rear. After one drive I was hooked on handling. I then swapped over the suspension/wheels/tires and enjoyed it, but didn’t need 1101 rwhp, so I moved onto this C6 Z06 in August of 2022 and fell farther for handling. Now I want to pursue SCCA Solo and try an HPDE, but I don’t want to be the one to put rock chips onto this car, it’s too mint for that, in my opinion. I also want to do it with something cheaper and the Miata really appeals to me, so much so, that I recently purchased one.

Why GM discontinued the Lemans Blue for the C6 early is beyond me.

T-56 or TR-6060 transmission?
