This day was the first time I got a chance to roll around with other similar priced if not way more expensive supercars. And once again I land at the conclusion that the C8 Z06 is a supercar.

What makes a supercar?
-Speed
-Horsepower
-Engine location
-Price
-Low Production #
Where does the C8 Z06 miss on this?

In other news, in this video is why I love the car community. Me and my friend wanted to meet up at a gas station to go head to a meet, and when we got there we ran into other car enthusiast at the gas station that I had never met before. We all became quick friends and then rolle out together to the meet and ended up hanging out the rest of the day. My C8 Z06, a Porsche GT3 RS, Lamborghini Hurracan, Audi R8's, Supra A90, and FD RX7!

It has supercar performance, but is most definitely not a supercar.
Supercar = Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mclaren

Ahhh if it has super car performance than it is a supercar. Performance is how supercars are measured its not measured by what an individuals concept of what a super car is or isn't

This is how I know your statement is pure opinion, because nobody truly has real factual evidence to back up their claim. So I guess I can stand strong on my statement, the C8 Z06 is a supercar and there's real comparative data to back it up.

I don't consider a C8 a supercar. But I do consider the C8 Z06 one. Fpc. The look. The performance? Yep.

WRONG. You're confusing the terms "supercar" and "exotic". Supercar is strictly performance, exotic is rarity.

In your book, a Ford GT isn't a supercar either because its a Ford. Silly.

Not to complain, but over 10,000 Z06s produced already is not low or small production. I love my Z, mean car when I want it that was and a great cruising car if I want that.

By every performance metric and I think pretty much every review written/videoed of the cars capability of course the C8 Z06 is a Supercar.

What I have always read was...

Supercar = A measure of the cars performance ex: (any road car that is of extreme performance regardless of the make)
Exotic = How exclusive a car is ex: (most of the Ferrari, McLaren, Lambo etc....)
Hypercar = Cutting edge in every category of performance, extreme limited build and over the top price tag ex: (Koenigsegg, Pagani etc...)

By the simple definition the Z06 is certainly a Supercar...but of course NOT an Exotic and obviously not a Hypercar.

If the definition of a Supercar is the manufacturer than a Ferrari 308 with its 240hp, 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds and 1/4 mile at 14.6 seconds is Supercar Performance :confused: Do those sounds like Supercar stats to anyone?

Everyone will have a different definition of what a supercar is or isn't. There is no standard for it, and trying to impose one on the internet is an impossible task.

Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Ferrari are Exotics (due to their limited numbers) and Supercars.

However...

I would consider my Porsche 911 Turbo S and C8 Z06 supercars based on their performance.
The C8 Z06 engine alone makes it a supercar as does the engine in a Porsche 911 GT3 IMHO.

Supercar has never solely been about performance. There has always been a exclusivity aspect to it. If not a ratted out Honda with 40k in performance mods will dust any car on the strip or track. Is that a supercar? No. The vette is an over acheiving exotic looking sports car and that's ok.

The stingray isn’t a supercar. The z06 absolutely is. Crazy how people don’t think so.

Or maybe people are confusing exotic and supercar. The zo6 isn’t an exotic but it is 100% a supercar.

Go back 20 years and every generation of Corvette has been called a "supercar" by car mags. C8 is no different :cheers:
