Do they know about the headlight issues with the "runs" inside the lens? We are seeing this on more and more cars (mine included) and we need to make sure that they understand what caused it, and that it is fixed for good if we have them replaced under warranty. Replacing them, to have it happen again, seems futile.

Edit: I was finally able to get the light right to take a picture of my headlights today. Both sides have the problem.

Why are the Jake hood graphic on Stingray and ZO6 and the Jake rear graphic not installed at the factory and you make the dealer install them? Not every dealer has a body shop to do this job?

Exactly how does the DCT filter life monitor work on the C8. Our understanding of the require maintenance is that the first replacement is at or near 7,500 miles. But when is the second change supposed to occur, at 22,500 miles, or 22,500 miles after the first change, which would be 30000 miles, and does the DCT filter life monitor correctly incorporate that requirement? Reports on the forum seem to indicate the filter life monitor will go 22,500 miles after the first change. So, is the filter life monitor correct, or must it be change at 22,500 miles?

If the car is connected to a local, internet enabled network via WiFi, such as an internet enabled WiFi in a garage, will it share data, such as smart driver data with OnStar via that connection? Or, is data only shared via the built in cellular connection?

And, related, will the car automatically connect to any WiFi network of opportunity, or will it only connect with the owner's permission?

What, exactly, does the Hydraulic System Flush do inside of the transmimssion?

In the procedure for replacing the DCT external canister filter, after the filter is replaced, the procedure calls for a leak test that is initiated by a scan tool and takes about 1 minute. What does that test do inside of the transmission?

Why is the Hydraulic System Flush required every time that the DCT external canister filter is replaced?

Anecdotal data and informal polls suggest that there's a valve body and/or transmission issue that could affect somewhere between >1% to 15% of C8s - what is the actual failure rate, and what is being done to improve the problem?

Additionally, what is being done to make sure that owners don't wait 30+ days for replacement parts?

After four years experience in real world DCT, I am wondering if any consideration regarding frequency of DCT fluid change. Other vehicles using similar fluid and similar transmissions have much longer DCT fluid change intervals. The real question is why is DCT fluid Titan FFL-4 change interval DATE-BASED at all?

Examples:

Audi R8 DCT fluid interval 40,000 miles not date based?
BMW M3,E90, E92 DCT fluid is Lifetime but some recommend 50,000 miles
Porsche 997.1 PDK fluid is 60,000 miles or 6 years.
VW DSG fluid change 40,000 miles not date based.
Ferrari 458 Lifetime?
McLaren 12C 40,000 miles and not date based.

My bet is they don't answer those questions...

I'd say that's a safe bet, but I'd love to be surprised :lolg:

Additionally, the Fuchs Titan FFL-4 fluid (which the service manual says is the only approved fluid for the C8 - yes it says EG but that is just a German abbreviation for first fill) when used in the Tremec 9070 DCT doesn't have a time limit. And the 9070's first filter change is at 40K miles.

And what does the leak check after the filter change do?

That is the one that I meant. Is there another? I'll go back and fix my question.

Does 100% of the transmission fluid that is picked up by the pump flow through the DCT external canister filter. How long does it take for all the fluid in the transmission to be filtered?

I already posted in the other thread, but I'll have to second (third?) this one...

So if I want to just change out my dct filter at 2k…….can I just do that without a leak down test?
Then at 7500 have my dealer do flush and filter.
