VIDEO: my eRay made 150% more TQ than my C8 Z06
THE SUPERCAR DESTROYER IS A TORQUE MONSTER!!! Right after a 16 hour drive from North Carolina with my 2024 C8 eRay my first stop in Texas with no break was to visit the dyno at JoTech, famous GTR shop which also has turned out some high HP C8's and V10 Supercars. I was quite surprised with the numbers. This is a no BS video, real numbers, real data, real conditions. I only let the car rest for maybe 30 minutes before we put it on the dyno and prior to the 30 min rest I was on the road for 9 hours straight driving. The car was heat soaked and the temperature outside was hot(you can see me sweating in the vid).Next videos: 1/4 mi test, Races against Supercars, 1/8 mi test, REAL 0-60 test, Dragstrip day, and more. But first, learn the car in this video!

Very close numbers to Paragon E-Ray Dyno. And they had put on an intake and a throttle body, if I am correct.
Love that Cacti! Thanks for the Dyno, and yes, we need somebody to put one on the 1/4 mile. |

Do you know what it made SAE? As it’s usually around 4% lower than STD, regardless it’s definitely not making only 15hp less than your Z06 as advertised.

Very Impressive numbers. Looks like someone will get some good sleep. Thats a long drive. Thanks for getting some base numbers. Were these done in the same 4th gear pulls or something else?

Eray 619tq vs C8 Z06 437tq is not 150% more, it's around 42% more...Good numbers regardless

My Z06 made 616 RWHP on that same Dyno: https://youtu.be/v6aKdTG_WXs?si=AkNAn9TJQUhwIGEq

Super cool, thanks for sharing Jesse! So at ~7:30 into the video, the guy in the car makes a comment saying something along the lines of that he thinks they "can get about 5 runs on the battery" indicating that they're not recharging between runs.
From my understanding of how the hybrid system works, you'd want the battery at 100% at the start of each of the runs so the software isn't making unknown decisions on how much battery to expend during the pull. I know after watching one of the other dyno videos (maybe the paragon one), they were using Charge+ on the dyno between runs to recharge the battery back to 100% before doing a subsequent run. This may have been why the 3rd pull (probably with the battery starting at about 60%) was less than the second... Even though these 5 pulls are likely not the same given the battery levels, the data from the pulls could be helpful in understanding how the car performs with different battery levels. Given how these were done, it would be nice to see these like: Pull 1 (Battery 100%): HP = x, TQ = y Pull 2 (Battery 80%): HP = x, TQ = y Pull 3 (Battery 60%): HP = x, TQ = y Pull 4 (Battery 40%): HP = x, TQ = y Pull 5 (Battery 20%): HP = x, TQ = y |
So it's like a tesla where power is diminishing during a long sustained run or back to back runs?
Damn lol |

It's not recharging between each Dyno run, but when driving on tied it's recharging itself. There's also an instant recharge button you can press on the road as well that you SHOULD NOT PRESS on the Dyno so you don't break the Dyno
This guy (shown at 4:48) turns on Charge+ on the dyno, which effectively drags the front wheels (to charge the battery) while pushing the car through the ICE-driven rear wheels to top up the battery to 100%. He calls it "Force Regen", but it's called Charge+ in the manual. In reading the manual, it would seem that we'd want Charge+ on between runs to recharge (given the dyno can handle the front wheels dragging), and then Charge+ turned off for the actual run once the battery has reached 100%. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...8a9fc24239.png |

42% more torque, I'll take the E-Ray hands down. The flat plane sound and 8,000+ redline make for good internet talk but give me the low end balls of the E-Ray every time I touch the gas. Persoanlly have no real interest in a Z06 and I have owned 4 of them previously.

"150% of x" would be 1.5x. "150% more than x" would be x + 1.5x.
To get from 413 to 619 would be either 50% more (413 + 413x0.5) or 150% of it (413x1.5). |

Let me help you with mathematics. 150% is 1.5. 1.5 x 413 TQ is 619 my friend.
