May 2024 Photo Contest-Interesting Weather
 

I like interesting weather, clouds, sunrises, sunsets, ice/rain etc. The first photo was the clouds before a 4.5 inch rainfall in Nebraska. A dragon fly photo bombed the picture. The second a sunrise that turned a east facing wall in our living room pink and grabbed my attention.

Some of the most mysterious looking "weather" I've seen is dense fog. One time I was sitting on a ridge top in Hell's Canyon waiting for the sun to rise. As it got light I could see a blanket of fog creeping along the valley floor towards where I was sitting. Fingers of fog were creeping up the small valleys between the ridges.

Feb 22nd. Sandusky, OH. Had to call it due to the low Visibility. 60°F

Feb 23rd. South Bend, IN. Lake effect snow. Had to call it when I saw the salt truck go the other way on the tollway. 33°F

Feb 24th South Bend, IN. 6 am - 16°F .
It was 60°F two days before when I drove thru this town going the opposite way.
