Are there 17" aluminum "factory style" wheels???

While looking at my vette, I started wondering if anyone made a 17" or 18" version of the factory aluminum wheels. I think even with the extra 2", the wheel could still look proportional to it current dimensions. Anyone know of any on the market? I've looked, but not seen any...

Wheel Vintiques has a set of Billet Aluminum Corvette Rally wheels available in 15-16-17-18"> they are available in varied widths and custom backspacings. They also use a modified OEM center cap. Type Wheel Vintiques into your search engine and they will come up.

I still have plans on a set for my '80. They ain't cheap though. JIM

I contacted Wheel Vintiques about the Alluminum style wheels and if they would be interested in making them since there is a large group of people who would buy them, but i have yet to recieve any word from them( i sent them the email in October)

i've been wondering why nobody ever got enough ambition to produce an OEM style wheel to fit modern rubber. had one been available at the time, i likely would have bought them rather than the c-4 wheels. sometimes people won't even take money when you throw it at them. go figure.

Here is a link to Wheel Vintiques' largest distributor: http://www.newstalgiawheel.com These guys sell a nice repro of the rally wheels in 16 and 17 inch. They also sell a billet version. I have not seen a larger version of the optional aluminum wheels. American Racing also makes a billet rally wheel. The May 2003 issue of Corvette Fever has an excellent article on bigger wheels/tires for our C3 cars. Good luck!

Just to clarify. I'm not looking for rally wheels. I'm looking for the optional aluminum wheels.
