Had one in my C4 for 4 years and no problem(sold car). Just droppped one in my C5. They have probably the best warranty out there too! :yesnod:

Don't take a chance, any regular lead-acid battery can leak. I had a DELCO leak in a new Pontiac Bonneville. In your C5 if it leaks, the computer and the wiring harness can be toast ! They are located directly under the battery.

I replaced my DELCO with a Champion XLT (AGM Battery) size/number DT35/CHXDT35 made by Exide. Got it at SAMS Club for $90-95. It has 690 CCA, 850 CA, a 36 month free replacement and free jump-start, and a 108 month limited warranty.

Die Hards are fine.
I have always thought a battery is good for three years no matter what the guarantee. Any longer is just awaiting a visit from the "Help I am standed monster".

Dry cells are the hot ticket to avoid any dripping onto the PCM.
Optimas are about $110.
Then there is the GM Glass Mat $90 (guess).
The other consideration is weight. 5 lbs is 5 lbs.
So it is just price point.

I buy Die Hards for my heavy equipment. Get the Gold for a few bucks more 3 or 4 years 100%. I took one out of the machine because they go dead when not used. I then ran it over with 30,000 lb. machine a split it. They handed me a new one. The I melted a post on one and they handed me a new one. No receipt's needed either. They look in a book and hand you another.
