My car is always covered when I'm not driving it. Either that, or it is within eyesight so I can keep my eye on it. This morning I uncovered it and went to the Gym. No problem in fact when I left, the same black Expedition was parked next to it as when I got there. I put gas in it, drove home and left the car cover off it under my carport, since I was going out again later in the day. When I got to it later, there was a huge chunk out of my paint, on the right side. Freakin' looked like somebody had opened a door against my car, then backed up while their door was still in contact with my car!! :smash: :mad :bs

Sorry to hear about your damage. People are so careless. Even when you park far away someone will park right next to you. I am careful about the venues and trips I will bring the car to. The mall or Home depot are out of the question. Not only are car doors a problem but fender benders abound. It is scary out there!

That's why I refuse to leave mine in any parking lot .
