The weather seems to be very questionable for Sunday.

Will we spend all that time cleaning only to get these bueatiful cars all wet and dirty again?

Does the threat of raining on your pride and joy keep your indoors?

What do you do if you know your at high risk to get wet?

The show is held in the parking lot of the Village. I don't know if there's an aquarium there. It's right off Rte. 95.

My husband and I attend all judged shows in New England...if they haven't been cancelled!! Our feeling is that if people do not show up, the clubs will eventually stop putting on these shows, and where will that leave those of us who like the competitiveness of these judged shows?!!

Does the threat of raining on our prides and joys keep us inside??? Not at all! While we do not take a drive in pouring rain, we manage to survive if we run into precipitation along the way! :) We've been at shows where it has showered on and off...you know what?? The cars dry off, and the show goes on :lol: :lol:

Hope we'll see some of you in Mystic!!

Just when I planned to definitely go to Mystic and probably get wet (the show must go on!), wouldn't you know it, the weather is looking better! We may keep those cars clean after all! How about that!

it was a great show but did you win? I got my first trophy (1st place) in the Nassau blue coupe so it was a show I will never forget. :cheers:

Yes, I did win! Took 1st in a class of 4. Congratulations on your first trophy!! There's nothing like that first one...now you'll be hooked!

I saw your car...beautiful! When I saw it, I thought about my former convertible, a 1988 yellow convertible, "Lemon Peel", which would have give you a run for that trophy!!

Elaine - Thanks, your car looked super as usual...maybe someday I'll "move-up" into something like your bueatful GS. My trophy would give me a lot more satisfaction if I had some competition - I was the only one in my class and I spent a lot of time preparing for some serious challengers! Oh well, where is your yellow '88 now? Tell the lucky owner to get it to a show!

My beloved Lemon Peel is owned by a couple in Western MA who are enjoying it fully but aren't into shows! That's good for me as I really don't want to see it again :cry I sometimes feel guilty letting it go!

Believe me, you would have had a lot more competition if the show in Rocky Hill, CT had beenheld on another day. Unfortunately, because the Mystic show had to be rescheduled, there was a major conflict. Do you hit any of the other New England shows? There's a big one in Guilford around the middle of July that we attend. Also, the Corvette Club of RI has a big one in early August.

Yes, we were at 4 shows this year (my first full year with the car and first shows!). 1st in Guilford, Danbury and last weekend in Mystic. 2nd in Westchester,NY. All "Super Street". Couldnt get to any RI or Mass. shows, maybe next year.
