Broke Shrader valve on fuel rail Help

Ok i got a adapter today to go from a AN style fitting to the accell rail gauge.I had it tight and it needed to go a little more to be straight. And guess what i did i broke it .Went to the dealer and it only comes in a kit for $196.00 all i need is the little valve.
This is what i have a autometer fuel pressure gauge with a 1/4 fine thread & a NOS T purge adapter that fit it perfectly .I need to be able to get it to adapt to the rail.Help?????
link to nos part http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...SCA/PK-Ga.html

Just to clarify
The schrader unscrews from the fuel rail completely thats what i need to replace.
I Broke the top off it and was able to remove the part that was left inside with a easu out.I need the thread info for the part that actualy screws into the rail. The 1/8 npt female is for the fuel gauge.AN fittings are for the schreder adapter to the gauge. Valve is on the left rail before the pressure regulator

crap, just re-read it. you broke the schrader fitting and not just the core? tried a salvage yard for the fuel rail?

you just need an an-4 female to an-4 female 90* coupler if you already have that other piece. or you can do a 90* 1/4" npt male to an-4 female fitting

:bb I am probably missing something here

But a shrader valve is a shrader valve! I bought one to tap into my thermo housing to bleed air, think it cost around $ 15.00 at NAPA

Like I say, maybe I missed the point

I wanted to add a Shrader valve to my Crossfire. I went to Chevy and discovered what you've reported. The link you provided, says the threads are 1/8th inch (NPT) pipe. That is the same as I needed. I bought a tire valve assembly (Camel, brand, I think) and it worked like a charm. I have a lot less pressure to hold than you do, but mine hasn't leaked a drop in 3 years. If it leaks, you're only out $5.00 or so, a drop in the bucket compared to what Chevy wants. I'll bet it works! Good luck, and...

RACE ON!!!

The valve assembly I am refering to is at the rear of, and on top of the left hand rail, in your illustration. Just below and to the left of the regulator. I don't know the thread size in the rail. Mine was a custom application, and I was installing it in a brass fitting that I knew was 1/8th NPT. For once, I agree with Jackdaroofer. Give it a shot. I'm still betting it'll work.

RACE ON!!!

PS. You could even retap the rail, if necessary. For $132.00, I can get pretty inventive.

My schrader valve was kinda leaky. The little pin inside wasn't holding. Anyway, I went to the chevy dealer and got one for a measly $30. I hate even going to those guys, but its one of those parts that you just can't get anywhere. I think just any kind of valve can fit that. PArt number is 17110854 cost 35.40 :U

I actually bought a spare to use with Nitrous. I picked it up from a Corvette Salvage Yard (Corvettes Unlimited IIRC) for a measly $5.

Ace hardware sells those, should be in the plumbing section. I saw them there this weekend.

I broke mine too when hooking up my nitrous fuel source. I ended up going to a junk yard (any mid 90's GM MFI will do) and getting a new (err used) one for $5.

THe dealer will want $45 or something for that part

I had mine silver soldered back on I did a simialr thing when adding the fuel guage with my superchrger.. It cost me about 5 buckas and 15 minutes to remove the fuel rails. I had it done at an industial hose place...

AN fittings they told me do not need brute force... I suggest popping out your injectors when you take it as they will dip it in water :P I used thatas an excuse to replace the O rings while I had them out...
