What's the best Vette item you've found at a swap meet????

......I was reading a recent Corvette Enthusiast article about a Carlisle swap meet....there was some pretty tantalising stuff there.......

.......it made me wonder what neat stuff Forum members have found at swap meets......

Bring it on.....

Haven't found any vette items (yet), but I did find a cool-looking NOS grille from an unknown 30's/40's import sports car for $10. I listed it on E-Bay as a "hot-rod" grille. Someone e-mailed and said "dude...that's a grille from a such-and-such 40's Jaguar. I cancelled the auction and re-listed with the proper description. Sold for $600.

Wish I could find stuff like that every weekend.

Upper reveal molding for a 68 only roadster, impossible to find, perfect shape, no dings in the stainless.....125.00. I'd buy all I could find for that price and resell on ebay....I'd be a rich man after that.

Picked my first Tripower at a swap in Melbourne for just over $300Aus back in the late '80s.
Also picked up fender skirts for my Bonnie at a swap in Bowling Green for $20US.
Not much Vette stuff at the swaps any more. Bugger!

Last fall in Indiana, I found a RH exhaust manifold for my '66. It was in perfect condition. The guy had a pair of them (the other one was not for a '66, I couldn't even make out the casting number), and he would not separate them. I got the two for $20. When I got home and cleaned the other one up, it turned out to be a '57 Vette Fuelie exhaust manifold!

Complete and functional rear window defroster setup for my '70. Got everything (wiring harness, fan, control switch and panel, correct hose, fiberglass "hat" housing for inside the wheel well, and the rear quarter trim with vent). Was a few years ago but I think I got it all for around $100. May have been less!   :D :D

Picked up a pair of 63 NOS rocker moldings still their orig. boxes for $100.00. Resold them on E-bay after not using them on my car at the time. Made a few dollars $$$ profit :)

Only thing I have gotten for the vette at a swap meet yet has been the hood prop rod (whatever it is called) for my '70 for $10.

I bought a complete 1969 Corvette front end at Spring Carlisle for $2,100.00. It was perfect and from an air cond car.

Years ago when I first got my 71 the left hand rear trailing arm was bent. A new trailing arm went for $200. A swap meet was coming up so I went to it not expecting much. Sure enough, no vette stuff anywhere. I was pretty much ready to leave when I came across this one guy with a few vette items. I asked him if he had a trailing arm. He says sure and pulls out a trailing arm in perfect condition. It has been blasted, painted and a new bushing is installed. it is also the left hand side. I got it plus some door handles for $120.
