Monica do you know if the rumors of a $4,000 rebate next month have an credibility?

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (canesfins)

GM doesnt send out memos on new incentives until the current ones end, so I don't know what the incentives will be next month. Seems like its a gamble every month. Last month, when GM was offering 0% for 60 months everyone thought they would continue it, but they didn't. You just never know.

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (canesfins)

Monica, so that means if a forum dealer gives $1k below invoice plus the $2k rebate you'll do the same but with a $3k rebate?? So were looking at $4k below with rebate??

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (MONICA@MAXIEPRICE)

One of the best forum prices I have seen so far is 13.5% off of MSRP, less the rebate. I'm sure you are aware of the dealer offering this price.

If I undersatnd your offer correctly, you are willing to match the 13.5% discount, plus a $3k rebate, plus 3.9% financing for 60 months.

Two questions: what would the finance rate be for a shorter term, such as 36 or 48 months? Also, what would the approximate cost be to ship the car to the Northern VA area? (zip 22003)

I have cash in hand, and am ready to buy. GA is farther from me than NJ, & I'm trying to assess my options.

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (HITMAN99)

I can match the 13.5% off msrp plus give you both the $3,000 rebate PLUS the 3.9% for 23, 48 or 60 months with approved credit.

For shipping, I would recomend a covered & insured carrior. We have used several, but I can recomend these three:

Passport transport 800-325-4267 http://www.passporttransport.com/
Exotic transport 800-766-8797 http://www.exoticcartransport.com/
Horseless carriage 800-631-7796 http://www.horselesscarriage.com

Give them a call for shipping costs.

You may want to look into flying to the Atl airport & driving back. Air tran flies out of Newport & Williamsburg & usually has one way tickets from $60-100 on sale.

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (MONICA@MAXIEPRICE)

One dealer is offering 1K below invoice and the 2K Rebate. So if I read Monicas post correctly then they are going to match the 1K below invoice and then also give a 3K rebate.

Hi Monica

Is the additional 3.9% GM, or other bank?

Thanks

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (Skiddles)

Fellow forum members.. I feel the need to chime in on this one!!! I must say that this is the best deal ever offered on C5's that has ever been posted for us, and monica seems like a very nice person to deal with. The problem is this, and I am sure its the same with other dealers that are selling so low.... They will give you a low low ball figure if you have a trade in, to make up for the discount you are getting!! Example I wanted to trade in my brand new 2003 yellow Z06, The car has 248 miles on it, loaded with all options but BSM, and is totally stock. It has never seen rain, and is kept covered and in a heated garage. Her trade in price to me 38K, and by the looks of her used c5 prices, she would be asking a ton more for it, for example look at what she is asking for the 2002 Z06 they have... That doesn't work, when other forum dealers have been in the 39k to 40k range, so her extra 1000 off is eaten up in my trade in value. So in some cases, going to another forum dealer in my case would be better for me. If you have no trade, this offer is as good as it is ever going to get, but just like with kerbeck, us corvette owners that want to trade a car in, and not going to get as lucky!!!

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (dizzzzy)

38k doesn't sound all that bad. It's not like she can give you 41 and sell you a 2004 for 42(or 43, whatever the price works out to be).

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (dizzzzy)

Monica is a discount dealer and is offering around $10,000 off the MRSP with discounts and rebates.

It really doesn't matter if your 03 only has 246 miles on it and its never been in the rain. It became a used car as soon as it was driven off the new dealers lot. C5's are not rare or unique... they will have made 250,000 of them by the end of 2004.
Your lucky she offered you 38K for it, since one year newer 04's ZO6's are going in the very low 40's. :)

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (NEXEX)

The point I was making was that if other dealers will give you the 1k extra on the trade, then she is really offering the same deal as all the rest.. If your trading in a car... You can discount the new one as much as you want, if you low ball the trade the same amount of money, why is that so hard so you NEXNEX to understand. If you read my post it clearly states that, and have already said it was a great deal if you do not have a trade in.

canesfins 02-22-2004 10:38 PM

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (dizzzzy)

Dizzzy, up imust be dizzy. Any dealer can and will play the same game with the trade in to clear as much as possible, it is not unique to Monica. If you find a better deal elsewhere, all the power to you, but I sincerely doubt that Monica put this deal up so she can play games with trades. Sell your car on eBay and call it a day.

You've got to be kidding me right? First off, why are you even concerned, you probably put half your miles on your car on the trip home from the dealer. You haven't even given your car a chance to like it before trying to get rid of it.

Second, $38 isn't a bad price for your trade in considering what you are getting in return, do you expect an even trade, Monica has to eat too. Invoice on a Z is around $45,900 - 1000 - 3000 = 41900. That's a $4000 upgrade cost, not too bad considering the rule of thumb is that your car depreciates 20% as soon as you drive it off the lot.

You're dealing with brand new cars here, not trading baseball cards with a 5th grader.

Re: $3,000 Rebate PLUS 3.9% financing (MONICA@MAXIEPRICE)

Skiddles - The additional 3.9% is not with GMAC.

Dizzzy - I have been trying hard to trade your Z06 in. It sounds like a very nice vette. Maybe someone here would like to buy it for more :). The problem with our trade is that you can buy a new Z06 from me as low as
$42,602 plus 3.9% for 60 months with aprroved credit. If I give you $38,000 for yours, I have to run it through the shop (yes I know it has 250 miles, but the next owner would appreciate that it has been checked out) & advertise it. I also have to try to sell your Z06 for a profit because we are a business & we have to make money. KBB rates it at $37,580-$39,650, subject to appraisal. I offered $38,000 against our vette at invoice plus the holdback.

If you are a vette customer & I showed you a used 03 Z06 or a new 04 Z06 that you could buy for just a little more plus 3.9% financing plus you get to break it in, which way would most customers go?

Dizzzzy,

Why don't you take it to Carmax in Kenosha and see what they give you for it. Otherwise sell it on Autotrader if you want more money for it.
