Re: Having an ENG Built (surfolly)

Thanks for the info. I wanted to call Goautocenter today to ask them about the warranty, but they are closed on Fridays. I'm wondering if I purchased their version of the ZZ430 if I can take it to a local dealer even if I didn't purchase it from the dealer. I rarely hear complaints about the ZZ motors anyway! Does anyon know anything about Goautocenter? Their engines are priced about $200 cheaper than everyone else, not sure why..

I never really even thought about the warranty when I bought my ZZ4. I've never had a problem with it even after my upgrades. I think GM has released a 383 crate engine with 420-425 HP. I bet those are nice. :yesnod:

I'm running Dart 180's, Edelbrock EPS intake, XE262 and flat tops. Very nice daily driver combo.

Talked things over with the builder, and he'll be installing the Pro Topline 180cc Pro Lightning 72cc heads, Performer intake with XE268 cam and .30 over flattops.
Or would the XE262H be a better setup.

If you don't mind me asking...who are you getting to build your motor? If I don't go the ZZ4 route, I've considered MAS Performance in Ellsworth, WI. They advertise monthly in Chevy High Performance magazine and build a 383 (420HP) that is ready to drop into the car (dynoed, etc.) I don't really know a lot about them except for calling a few folks in town where they're located.

Southern Speed in Jasper, GA
They advertise in the local Atlanta Trader.
You can find them @ Traderonline.com Then select "Bargin Trader" link.
Do a search for Chevy.
