Intake questions
I was just on the Edelbrock site.
What kind of gains could I expect from the Performer EPS? Are their cams any good? Also, the Performer Air Gap says it doesn't fit under a stock Corvette hood. Even if you use a drop base air cleaner???? Anyone have experience with Holley intakes? How do they compare to the Edelbrocks? |

Re: Intake questions (79-L-82)
i have the performer rpm( non air gap) , eps 800 carb & a drop base air cleaner on my 80. i have less than 3/4" clearance. id say no way on the air gap w/ the stock hood.

Re: Intake questions (neverendingproject)
I just put my rpm on Sat. on my 79 and putting on a 750 edelbrock with the triangle low profile Edelbrock air cleaner..I'm sweating the clearance. :leaving:  not going to be much...

Re: Intake questions (79-L-82)
The Holley 300-36 is very good & may put more power under the curve than the RPM w/ L-82 cam.
The RPM fits under the 73-79 med. rise hood w/ Holley & drop base filter. |
Re: Intake questions (79-L-82)
The L82 cam is actually a pretty good one. It was also used in the 350/350 hp engines of the late '60s.

Re: Intake questions (page62)
How good is the cam?
I'm looking to mod my vette up to approx 350hp. (Slowly) How does it compare to the edelbrock? :auto: |
