I love my Street Avenger!!!
I finally installed my Street Avenger 670 carburetor on my '79 this weekend. All I can say is, WOW!!! What a huge difference! I never turned the first screw. The thing was perfect right out of the box. It was well worth the $360. I haven't had any experience with a Demon, but I like this Holley much better than the Edelbrock or Q-Jet that I've tried before. If any of you are in the market for a new carb, I would suggest the Avenger. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

:iagree: Have one on my 78. Awesome power and with a little tweaking you can get 5% more power. Congrats on your upcoming graduation. My son graduates next Saturday from FSU.

:iagree: I got to wonder about all those who say they have problems with the SA670. Mine bolted right up and fired off the first try. Minor tweaking got it perfect.
One thing I did do was to send an email to Holley abour the plastic sight plugs. I got a set of brass plugs in the mail. I gave them my carbs ser# and date purchashed. Some concern on those plugs cracking/leaking, etc. Look in the archives here for more info. |

Do you know what the jet sizes are that come in them?
Thanks, Gary |
Re: I love my Street Avenger!!! (e3pres)
planning on doing that swap on my 76, and will also be adding a performer air gap manifold...any advice on doodads and whatnots needed to adapt the throttle linkage, fuel lines, vacuum lines, etc. from the Quadrajet to the Holley? Thanks.

Re: I love my Street Avenger!!! (76Frankenstein)
This is what I used. I wouldn't suggest this throttle cable bracket, and I still need to find an air cleaner that will fit. I hope this helps.
