from nitrous to super charger

I know i dont post much if ever but i have a few question about what people have on there cars I currently have a 02 z06 with nothing but a vara ram and a dry 5115 nos kit that i had sitting around. it make 357 rwhp NA and 460rwhp bottle. I have had bottle on my other car for years and would not want to go with any other power adder on it but on my vette bottle is just not near as cool as blower my concern is that the car makes 460 now to switch to blower is going to cost some coin and i would hate to swich spend the money and end up with less power. what do you all think is there a blower set up that will make over the 460 mark on a stock motor?

I am having this same problem. I have just about he exact same numbers are you with my NA and N20. I am not sure if it is worth the expenese to have the power ALL the time. I know you can make more power with ATI but I perfer the Magna due to my price savings. Its a hard decsion, but with an intercooled Mag you should make around 500 and change.

A vortech will put close to the 500rwhp range on a ls6. I know there is a guy here that has a 02 ZO6 with a vortech and some tuning and the rest is pretty much stock and he put down 533rwhp. So look into that and there are acouple other s/c . Do some research on them. :)

My $.02 would be to spend and extra $1,000 on cam and springs to go w/either your nitrous or supercharger. That would definitely net you over 500rwhp or right at it depending on which route you choose to go. You could get a pretty stealthy cam that you wouldn't even hardly notice the change in how your car sounds. I like the nitrous route personally because you can pick and choose when you want the extra power unlike superchargers.

Uh, you can pick and choose when you want power with a Supercharger. . .it's called the gas pedal! :yesnod:

By the way, 460rwhp is only the beginning. You will find 500rwhp is easy to achieve with a M6 car. :yesnod:

I wondered that same thing when I was considering moving to ATI (from nitrous) on my Firebird Formula. I can say that I'm glad I did - the power is there, it feels wicked, and the coolness factor is a degree of magnitude above nitrous.

I love nitrous, but blowers kick serious butt.
