More Motor Mount Problems

I purchased a motor mount at O'Reilly today. I shoulda known better when I took it out of the box and it had a "Made in India" sticker on it. The POS didn't fit... not even close.

Are the $14.00 motor mounts that TLD sells the same style as the ones that came on my car from the factory? I'm scared to see what the GM dealer would sell me one of these for.

Thanks for the help & input. Hopefully my next motor mount purchase won't waste 8 hours of my evening. :cuss

After screwing around with several vendors and their offerings (not the cheap stuff mind you), I just ordered a set from my GM dealer. They fit perfect, and looked (to me) to be identical to the originals. Nice quality, but not inexpensive.

You should have listened to your first post recommendations the other day and bought the Energy Suspension mounts. :nono:

Don't have $70 to spend on motor mounts right now.

I was about to order these from Summit. Are they the same story and I'll have trouble with the fit?

Well, the problem is resolved! I went to Napa and purchased their direct fit motor mount and it works great. No more annoying grinding of the fan shroud!!! I was suprised and relieved when the bolt that attaches the mount to the frame went straight through. With the right parts, the toughest part of the job was getting the bolt hole on the right to line up. Power steering bracket was a PITA, had to unbolt the whole pump to get the bracket to line up.

Next project: Air conditioner.
