Car running like crap today.
Car runs real bad at low rpm- irresponsive. Sounds kinda "chuggy" whenever the throttle is opened.
When I shut the car off, the passenger side cat smokes for a couple of minutes. I'm thinking there might be unburnt fuel in there smoking out or something. Regardless, I'm not very fond of this problem and need to get it fixed. Put the car in neutral and it revs, but sounds chuggy as mentioned before and ticks a lot as the rpms go down. It's strange - parked the car on friday driving beautifully, started it this morning running like poop. Any ideas? -Steve |
Pull the plugs and see if they're fouled I guess. The problem is determing why they fouled.

Plugs just don't foul overnight though, do they? Weird...
I'm gonna check the plug wires and some plugs as soon as I get a break. Thanks for the advice. |
Found out the problem. #2 plug wire came out in two pieces. Looked good from my side of the header pipes though. :D
Could this cause the cat to smoke/boil? That was really concerning me. |
hey steve , havent seen you in a while
