A couple of weekends ago I was driving down a street here in town, and much to my surprise there were a couple of High School student driving a foreign (looked like a Honda) next to me.... We stopped at the stop light and they were asking me a lot of questions about my car..... When the light turned green we both floored it..... About 3/4 of a mile down the road I slowed down to make a right hand turn and they were about 1/4 of a mile behind me...... I think they gave up....

Then on Sunday (two days later) here I was sitting at a light, and next to me was a Dodge Stealth with intransits..... In the car was a guy (driver) and a girl (assuming his girlfriend or wife).... Anyway I needed in his lane so when the light turned green I left rather quickly, but he didn't want me to get in front... I said the heck with it and punched it.... Left him in the dust....I wonder what the girl was thinking about his new car when we were done.....

I know neither of these cars are really any competition even for a stock Vette, but it sure is fun to leave them in the dust especially when they think they have a chance.....

I think we'll get over it http://www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/smile.gif

Why are these childish chest-beating and boasting posts appearing in the Technical section? I guess the moderators are on vacation. This is the kind of crap the C4 General Section was intended to "contain". I do not care who beat who on the street. Kids who participate in street racing are childish and are putting everyone who uses the public roads at risk. The results of such uncontrolled antics do not measure the Corvette's capabilities or serve as useful performance discussion. BS maybe.

Wow, Bill simmer down there killer! http://www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/eek.gif
He already acknowledged he posted in the wrong place, and also just registered recently.

I mean come on, we Vet owners bought 'em because we like to stomp A$$ on the track and the STREET. After all, they are just production vehicles- they didn't come with chrome/moly tube frames, roll cages, fuel cell, halon extinguisher system. The Corvette was made to rule the streets!

Call it dangerous/childish, but I'm a professional 30 year old man, who's inner child still & always will enjoy smoking 'em from stop light to stop light! http://www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/smile.gif Yes, there are some idiots out there removing themselves from the gene-pool now & then, but that's called selective evolution of a species!

Bill take a few deep breaths, drive your Vet out to the boonies somewhere, and lay down some rubber. I think you'll find it rather therapeutic, it's rewarding to a male's subconscious primal urges, and it's rather harmless. Or you could just continue to verbally flog new CVF members for their mistakes.

Wow bill... a little less flame there. I think they took away the option to delete posts (at least I can't), so don't be too harsh. He realised he posted it in the wrong section and probably couldn't or didn't know how to delete the post. Cut him some slack.

This place is just like a cork board... if you don't like what you're reading, move on to something else. This is one GIANT cork board with tons of notes to read on it. Why get mad because someone left their note on the wrong cork board! http://www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/confused.gif???
