I pulled off the Actuator on my front left shock and noticed that the selector gear is broken in half. Is it possible to just buy a new gear, or do I have to replace the entire shock?

The gear is not available separately. You have to buy a new shock or have your's rebuilt by Bilstein. Rebuilding is cheaper. Also, look up into the actuator and make sure that plastic gear is not broken. Shocks should be replaced in pairs. If you decide to replace, The Last Detail (tld-corvette.com) has about the best prices on shocks and actuators. Good luck!

I asked this question before and someone told me that they got on from someone for like $10. He didn't say who, but it was probably someone like Ed's Corvette Shanty, or Taber Corvette Parts.

I also found then new at Ecklers, they come as a set of four for $199.00!!! I'm SURE they sell ALOT of those http://www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/smile.gif

According to the Ecklers web page, they are listed as a SET. They may be listed different in the printed catalog and could be a typo on the web page.
