The EST connector. Where is it? What does it look like (Wire Colors)? Where should I disconnect it to time the car. Thanks...

The connector is located just to the left of the brake booster. It has a single wire which is tan with a black stripe. I took this info from a diagram which covers thru the 87. I am making a guess that the 88 is the same since the update does not indicate a change.

The EST bypass wire (the wire you need to disconnect) is a tan/blk wire located near pwr brake booster. When you disconnect it it will set a code 42 and trip the check engine light, base timing can then be set or you can jump the diagnostic and ground plugs on the data port (two upper right plugs) and it will not set a code. Good luck
