I am at 2,910 with me in it but there is not much for comfort in this car. Oh it is a 96 coupe.

Blown96 what did you strip out of you car? Mine weighs 3480 with me in it. Man I need sticky tires. I'm running 121.4mph with a small cam right now. I am going with a larger cam when the motor breaks in and shooting for 125mph. I really want a 10sec time slip... :toetap:

You have my attention. What did you do to get the weight down that low?

Wow - pretty light. Is that with a roll bar?

:lurk:

well, if you strip out the carpet, the A/C ducting and hardware (condensors, accumulators, compressors), speakers, radio and unused dash stuff, trim, etc... I could see knocking off a couple of hundred pounds!

but who would want to drive it! lol.

The car still has the full interior in it (racing seats) i will send out pics of how i did it i would have to type for days to explain it all. Most of the weight was removed from the front of the car 75 pounds from in front of the front wheels and yes it can be done. The 10.86 was at 3'300 with me in it. With the motor i am having built i will have no problems going well you will have to wait for the results as i am getting close to firing it up and getting the tune right on the dyno. Then it is off to the track. No roll cage yet but adding 75 pounds won't hurt it. If you would like to know how it was done please let me know.

mee too

send pic's to hardinm@sjrmc.com

mine was 3130 last year with me in it and 1/2 tank of gas. Still had ALL stock int. PS/PB/PL/ PW NO A?C and carbed. My ex. weighs 60lbs ( which can be removed in 5 min) and i'm currently switching the carpet to lightweigh Autozone and racing seats, along with that i plan to do the front and rear bumpers. That 75lbs from the nose would be AWESOME.

Mike

BTW blown96 I think you ,Nitrous SAm , and I are the only ones hitting the D-36 hard too and having them survive. I have gone 1.55 60'ine and I know you've been quicker, I truley believe the weight is what's keeping them alive.

Z06_BluByU 01-25-2005 10:22 AM
