The seal you install will show you how deep it can go to the flange lip on the seal....then you have to look at the recess that has been cut into the housing and it will show you how far it...

Seat foam

I heard that a good upholstery shop can take care seat foam and steam press it. The process cleans and brings new life into it. You can also switch the passenger seat foam to the drivers side.
