I'm sure this time you got everything right, so as mentioned before, it's very possible the camera got damaged when 12v were applied to the little green and white wires.

Afaik you shouldn't be doing anything with the plate wires. I didn't. The reverse wire needs to go to the positive (green wire) for the backup lights.
