It's all good. Not bashing, just not my thing I guess. Not sure why I was targeted. Probably the only one reported so far. The other negs will get eventually deleted and we'll all have a 2nd faux...

Sounds strange I suppose, but I generally shift by sound. Once you figure out what 6600 RPM sounds like you shift right before that. I might have to watch the tach in 1st to refresh my memory,...

I use my "poverty pads" with the pucks. These are left over 2x6s cut about 6" long. Work great and $0.

You'd need to provide the width and offset of the back wheel, but assuming similar to stock, then you can realistically go up a couple sizes without much risk. I think 295 is maxed out on a 10" wheel...

Personally I'm very thankful that someone brought this up. I think the next article should be about the automatic 8 speed VS the Manual 7 speed. Maybe do a Z51 vs base, and perhaps a Grand Sport VS...

Others on here have opined that the glas is "softer" than previous gen cars. Dunno. Might be something to the track though. I've done a couple track days in my car and I have to say that's where most...

I think the most important thing is running the VIN through the GMVIS to see if there are any warranty blocks. You don't wanna find out it's a driving school car right after the engine blows up.

I don't recall seeing a lot of failures on here. Seems like if they're gonna fail, it's valve spring related. I thought there was a thread about one experiencing some sort of knocking related to rods...

I got a tv in my garage and I hang out messing with the cars quite a bit, or just sit next to the cars drinking beer/wine and watching motor sports ect. Good to know its not unusual.

Not sure about a cat back, but there is no need for different rotors other than cosmetic. Stock ones are fine, even if you track. In the real world, there's probably no difference in stppping...

Basically that says almost nothing. Looks canned. Impressive that someone could come up with several paragraphs of nothing though. I had a terrible time doing that in school. Got a little better at...

The public doesn't know the difference. If you remove the logos, most wouldn't even know it's a Corvette. If the 2 styles are side by side, average Joe might say the fat ass tires on the wide body...

This. You have people pronouncing it fixed that have put 3k on their car since it was done. I might start being a believer when I see 10k.

Even if you do track, the base is fine too, especially M7s. IMO, the only thing the Z51 brings to the table at the track is 19/20s, and a stiffer suspension. When I'm blasting around in the base I'm...

How much is a new TC and new fluid? You already did tons of stuff to bring the car back to life. I'd guess you could probably pull this off too.

Do they guarantee the triple flush working, at least for a set period of time/mileage? If not I'd skip it. To me it seems like a temp fix at best. Actually I'd probably try the Range disabler first...

Honestly, I'd probably skip both.

IMO, 6th gen ZL1 is improved to the point that I don't think I could invest in the old one. '15 ZL1 will attract more interest than a C7 at a big car show...

Pretty much when I did. I did it a little early the first change as the engine was breaking in. Worst case you're wasting a free oil change. I didn't even use the free oil changes at all.

Ditto. I'd only take it to the dealer if I have no choice. Skipped the free changes. My rockers are still intact. If I gotta wait somewhere, might as well be in my garage where I control the TV...

The most obvious reliability concern to me would be the automatic 8 speed. I bought a manual, and I'd only buy the car again with a manual. The reliability of the rest is probably no different than...

He could just duct tape the original shocks somewhere near the wheels and leave em hooked up. They could make a Red Green Show episode about it. :yesnod:
