Anyone have a Spark table I can look at? Engine spins to 7K, cam is mild and really doesn't kick in till later. I'm guessing peak torque wont happen till at least 3000rpm.

the whole thing is complicated by the engine needing to be under load at 2000+ rpm. I like the magnet idea, that way I can move it around easily and place it right in-between cylinders on the block.
