Default How many wires on coil plug for LT4

Trying to track down a no spark problem when the car warms up. I am going to replace the harness connector to the coil since the previous owner did a butcher job on it installing a msd 6al. I have taken the MSD out and getting ready to replace the connector. The new connector has three wires but my old one only has two. The new one goes red, green, white and the old one is red, green, blank. I noticed there are 3 prongs on the coil. Do we use all three on the vettes or could I just have a universal coil harness and only need the red and green wire and not use the white. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram in my helms manual. If the white is used, where doe's it go. thanks for the help.

If I remember, I believe white is the tach signal.

I've got the 1996 FSM (book II) open in my lap and I'm still looking but the Ignition Coil removal procedure references "disconnecting the four terminal connector at the ignition control module (ICM)."

2 wires to the '96 coil, although the connector is a three wire connector (likely carried over from previous years).

Btw...I'm the only owner of mine so I know it's never been hacked
