Default Torq Thrust II July Specials and Tires Tomzwheels

Torq Thrust II July Specials and Tires Tomzwheels

WE have the following specials on Torq Thrust II Wheels wheels for Forum members. Prices include a set of standard Chrome Lugs.

4 - 17x9.5 (+46mm Offset) Call or PM for pricing

2 - 17x9.5 and 2 17x11 (+46mm and +45mm Offset) Call or PM for pricing

4 - 17x8 (-11 Offset 4 inch Backspacing) Call or PM for pricing

The 17x11 wheels are runing low on stock and in fact when we run out in our warehouse we will have to ship some in from out of state. When that happens we will have to add 30 to the 17x9.5 and 17x11 combo.

We also carry tires. Our best value is the Sumitomo line. The following prices are good for tires only or with a set of wheels with mounting and balancing included. We use a Hunter 9700 balancer and do a road force check on each set of tires we ship.

Sumitomo HTRZ

4 275/40/17 349 plus shipping

2 275/40/17 and 2/315/35/17 419 plus shipping

4 245/45/17 HTRZ II 419 plus shipping

Prices include mounting and balancing.

We also carry other brands of tires.

Please call us at 1-866-939-1030 to purchase or if you have any questions.

Wheels include the center cap and a set of standard lugs. If you would like to upgrade here are your options:

Standard Locks $5.00

Lifetime Lugs from Gorilla $20.00

Lifetime Lugs with Locks from Gorilla $30.00

Shipping for a set of wheels or tires range from 50 to 75 depending on your location. A set of tires mounted and balanced will be double due to size and weight. There is no sales tax on out of state purchases. If you are a Texas resident give us a call and we can make a small adjustment on the price to offset sales tax.

Thanks
Tom

Are these the polished wheels (17x8)? Will they fit a stock 79 vette (no offset trailing arms, or special brake calipers) as is? Price to ship 4 to 92065?

The TT II's have a polished finish. The 17x8's will fit the stock setup. A set of 4 shipped to 92065 would be $834.

thanks

What do you have to do in order to get the 17x11's to fit the rear on a '68???

Unfortunately, I can't help you. We've never done a test fit with that size wheel on a 'C3, so we don't know what exactly would be involved in the fitting.

Tom,
When will you start sell these in 18 X 9/10? How much and how long do they take to get? I want 17 X 8 Front and 18 X 9/10 back

As a vendor you can't determine what will / won't work or fit?????

You would have to have offset trailing arms and they would still stick out a little past the lip of the fender. Also no swaybar.

Tom, I'm still open if you want to use my car as a test tool.

The only way we can get those sizes for you would be as a custom build. We can do 17x8 and 18x10 (they don't make a 18x9). It would take 6-8 weeks and your cost would be $1065 plus shipping.

thanks

That's pretty arrogant. A 17x11 is a custom size. Do you think he has a test car laying around that he can test fit wheels all day? TomLzzz has been a great vendor and supporter of the forum for quite a while and has helped many members in the past. You should cut him/them a little slack.

I don't think he was trying bash Tomz. He just expected a little more assistance, maybe a "call me and lets discuss what your trying to do". Just my take on it. Not every vendor wants to get into the custom stuff and I commend Tomz for at least trying. After all they want the same results as the person they sell too. Satisfaction.

Default Wheel application

I have a 73 that is flared out and modified suspension. Z06 wheels will fit but too much back spacing. They rub the swaybar and just don't look good with the flares. I had been running Torque Thrust II's 10 x 15 with 3 3/4 backspacing all around but race tires are getting hard to find. I'm looking for a set of polished Torque Thrust II's, two 9 1/2 x 17 and two 11 x 17 all with a 4 inch backspacing. Any help?

Budman78 - What backspace are you going with on the rears, 5.5 inches?

TomZ - Can we get a group purchase going on a special order, 17x8's and 18x10's?

I'm going to borrow one of those measuring tools. Hopefully Discount has one.
