Default Vacuum Diagrams???

I found a broken vacuum line on my 85 and am wondering if anyone has a diagram for the vacuum lines. I'd like to replace all of the plastic with rubber but am afraid to start without a diagram so I know where they all go! I'm particularly concerned with a broken hose that I found which I think goes into the firewall. I can't find another loose end and can't figure out what it is for!? I replaced a couple of plastic ones this winter actually one (which I broke when I replaced the injectors) and am hoping that I didn't miss anything when I had it apart. It has not been throwing any codes so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the heat-a/c vents. Please help if you can!

Default Chilton's

The FSM would be of great help here BUT from the mid to late 70's and on through the 80's Chilton's had a hard bound "Emissions and Vacuum" routing for all "domestic" car lines. I used to keep one around for just this purpose. I haven't had it in my hands for years and I think it was prior to '85 so it wouldn't be of any value. Do they still do it? I don't know!

What I used to do when people inquired for the information was send them to our Public Library for the information. I haven't been to the Library I mention in years but it's the first place I would look.

Their(Chilton's)information was always very concise, was from OE manuals and detailed the emission components and routing. It was accepted as "gospel" so to speak if there was an emissions inspection/certification issue
with most state agencies.

I just read your post again and it wouldn't help with anything except "under hood"! You mention A/C, heat etc. You'll need a FSM to accomplish the "complete car"!

My FSM has the routing for an 88, plus there is a sticker in the engine compartment. I would bet any vacuum line into the firewall is for the vents. Maybe someone with a FSM for your 85 Vette can PM you. Good luck
