NPP in a Box - Install Pics - Dial Up Death

Also, thank you to Gene Culley at GMPartsHouse.com for a great GP purchase price and next day delivery. Gene was the only GM parts vendor who stepped up, I e-mailed others about pricing and availability and no one returned my requests. Gene once again has proven he is the man to see when you want any GM parts.
And of course, thanks to my buddy Tony, the best mechanic a guy could ever know, and I'm lucky enough to have him work with me on his day off...all for a Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich....I guess I better give Christmas bonuses this year, huh???
Ok, on with the show…..
Ed’s NPP in a box, a set of NPP mufflers and a M2W switch will give you an incredibly easy way to have just the sound you want, when you want, if you have a pre-2008 C6. In my case, throw in a set of LG headers, and you have rolling thunder at the flick of a switch. The combo of the headers and the NPP in Wild gives you AMAZING sound and “HEY, LOOK AT ME!!!” volume…the tonality and sound is that of a NASCAR stock car at WOT outside the car, yet quieter and less drone inside the car than the GHL exhaust I was so fond of. The install is very straight forward, easier with a lift, but as Ed has shown with his car, you can do it on jack stands. Here are some pics and descriptions of the step by step process; you will receive complete illustrated instructions with your purchase.
NPP Mufflers waiting for Install

Factory Exhaust Removed

Drilling a ¼” hole in the rear well

Run the Vacuum Tube though the hole

Run the Vacuum tubes through existing frame locations

After dropping the rear sway bar, snake the NPP mufflers up and over

Attach the pipes to the mufflers

Connect the vacuum hoses to the NPP mufflers

Make sure your muffler pipes are straight and level

Muffler hardware done and vacuum tubing run

Locate vacuum nipple in well

Place NPP controller in bottom and attach vacuum and power lines

Place new false bottom on top of the controller, you can still store items here (Does that look perfect or what???)

Connect power cable to the Seat Heater Fuse

And of course, a quick run with Ed's Polishing kit

That's all there is to it.....All that's left is to go out there and have a blast with your new found customized sound.
Here's a link to a video of the sound

Ed, once again, THANK YOU!!!!

My only other option would be to add cut outs at the pre-muffler and install electric butterfly valves and then you can open them to any level you want.
Decisions,decisions?????

Just pulling your chain. I see you had Tony there for the install so what do you care how easy it is to do it?
I expect a ride....I get to do the button pushing for the muffs.
I like it; good job Ed!

It took a lot to make me smile after the last week or so, but I'm still grinning like a kid on Christmas....sure hope the forecast is wrong and it doesn't rain tomorrow.
And Guy, or course you can push the buttons, besides the remote, I have Homelink so I'm lucky enough to control it from the visor.

After the rain passes in the next few days, we can meet up.
To everyone else,
I've already received quite a few PMs about sound/volume etc. As soon as the weather cooperates, I will do a video post, inside/outside, cruising, drone zone, WOT, etc. If Spin gets back from Memphis, we'll also use his db meter and post actual decibels (I think the readings behind the car are going to make many say
)I will add it to this thread, hopefully by the end of the week.

I did mine with the mufflers in, it's just a little easirer with nothing installed to drape the vacuum line through the hangers but even with the mufflers in and laying upside down it is still very simple. That is the only item impacted

.Ed never seems to amaze us.I can see lots of these being purchased.. Way to go Ed
