Ed, can you get me a test drive in one of those cars? Or if they know about me, can you drive me in one just so I can say I did. Certain talkers tell me I'm driving their friend's Enzo to help him with some problematic state troopers and that afternoon the only stick I grabbed was my own while I sat on the couch thinking of the car I was supposed to drive......

I have calculated that with your current gears, tires, power, and knock retard, your top speed can probably make it just past 81mph.

Oh man that was harsh!!!

Yeah he has not been there with the Enzo quite a bit now, he has such a variety of exotics, that he drives one for everyday of the week. That Bastage. And his latest toy, Porsche 07 GT3-RS..

So ... Ed ... you gonna stick with those gears? Where you gonna go for a real tune? You know, one with a wideband sensor and dyno?

first things first, I'll put my factory tune back, take it to Chevy and get the throttlebody sensor fixed

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1867624
see post #7

another thing might be is the cold weather & the 160 stat, car has been running at 160 deg. on the road.

once I get all that resolved, then I'll know if I'm going to keep the 4:10's, I think by the time this thread reaches 2,000 posts, I'll have a clearer picture.

then we start all over

Honestly, you should get the gears that you like. 3.90's? So be it. However, 100 rpms is not going to make that much of a difference. I think you should stick to the 4.10's a little longer then decide. Don't you love that blistering acceleration 3rd to 4th?

Do you think there is a real noticeable difference between a 3.90 and a 4.10?I know in the old days one step up in a gear change wasn't worth it.
Take care.

At first it reminded me of pledge day at college and as I read that, I saw circle and grind and was thinking whoa there chuck, I dont play that way. No one grinds on me.

A thermostat saves the day. I hear the car now has the same timing and doesnt knock. Couldnt ask for a better fix than that.

Are we still going to hear about lame mileage?

Now on to Ed......you took all the reaming any guy can take without resorting to rockin' retorts and calling names and want not....so you get the newest forum reward: You are now no longer out court jester. We promote you to full dignity staus and bolls of steel for taking all that from us and stayin' cool.

Our next target will be............has anyone rode Craig yet?
