I do not know about this issue, but my guess would be that you would need to have it removed from you tune.
The FIRST intake need a remote fuel pressure reg. You can buy one on Ebay or from Summit.
You mean the ERG? The answer is yes you can use it with the new intake.
You can use your old thermostate housing w/ the new intake.

Randy

Sorry for the spelling, I am a little drunk.

cold-start - you'll need a new chip. Depending on your mods, you may be able to use a stock 89 chip since they don't have the cold-start injector.

Regulator - as said earlier you need an external one that'll go on the outlet side of the fuel rail - not sure on the fittings you'll need on a vette.

"short name" - if it's not the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve,,, maybe you're talking about the TPS (throttle position sensor)?? You can use the original with the bracket that I believe is supplied with the FIRST purchase.

If you're talking about the IAC (idle air control) valve, the original screws right into the FIRST T/B.

If you're talking about the IAT (inlet/intake air temp),,, or MAT (manifold air temp) sensor,, on the 3rd gen f-body,,, they screw into the bottom of the stock TPI plenum. There is no provision for this in the FIRST's plenum. I spliced the wires and did a relocation mod to the air filter box - which a lot of folks do anyway on the stock TPI - Very easy to do. Some applications have this sensor in the air boxes from the factory,,, not sure about the Vette.

TPIS used to have an IAT relocation kit for vettes that included the IAT sensor, a grommet, and an extension harness. I have that kit on my 89. It's a 15 minute job including drilling the hole in the airbox.

I have already a moates setup, so I will be able to tune and deactived the injector, I quess..

perect, thats a easy one...thanks guys

No no, thats all commend short terms, for me.....I think the thread was about modifing the stock distributer, to fit to the new intake setup.
And Ken answered me that this would be the case...

I am 100% in, for the forum group deal, I am in contact with Ken, regarding payment (Europeen credit card?) I will post, when the deal is closed...

Looking forward to the sweety...I am looking for a long time know, after different options for intakes.....thats perfect for what I wanna do with the care (spec. price visa compared to SR)

next question for you guys

My setup is or will be

-) home made exhaust system (headers more and less a TPIS copy + spec. Y-pipe to geet rid of the pre cats + two sheap mufflers from ecklers

-) ported org. head, valve job, higher compression ratio

-) first TPI setup

so nothing spec, have to keep the cost low, but what I need to make it working. is a the right setup for the valve train.

What would be your suggestion regarding

-) cam shaft (timing, lobe, lift and brand)
-) spring rates
-) rocker arms , ratio

I would prefer to buy a whole setup, like the LT4 hot cam..

Or what is your thinking about what is the best bang for the buck

thanks guys

I believe the ZZ383 motor from GM has the Fast Burn heads, you may need the vortec intake for that motor. Something to look into.

Happy New Year to everyone and it is time to put this GP to bed. I hope everyone was able to get your orders in before the new year and I can't wait to read the threads about the improvements this intake made for each of you. Thank You to all that participated in this group purchase and to Evan (mechguy79) for getting it started. Have a happy and safe new year.
