Newest Owner of some CCW SP500's
Guys:
I got a set of new SP500's and the big brown truck dropped them off last night
Slapped them on last night and took some pics today after a quick cruise around.
I got 19x10, and 19x11. Continental ContiSport Contact 3's (275/30-19, and 305/30-19). The car actually drives nicer after the change (smoother). I think its cause my old Goodyear SC's were down to the wear markers.
I installed the C6 lowering bushings in the front (lowered max), and longer bolts in the back (to make the back match the front.)
I did some homework before I got them....
Wheel/Tire weights comparing stock Z06 setup to my new CCW setup.
Factory Z06 setup = Front
...19.2 lbs (02-04 Z06 Front 17x9.5)
...29 lbs(265/40-17)(Goodyear Eagle SC)
...48.2 lbs Total Rear
...21 lbs (02-04 Z06 Rear 18x10.5)
...33 lbs (295/35-18)(Goodyear Eagle SC)
...54.0 lbs Total
CWW - SP500 19/19 setup= Front
...22.5 lbs (19x10 Front SP500)
...26 lbs (275/30-19)(Continental ContiSport 3)
...48.5 lbs Total Rear
...23.5 lbs (19x11 Rear SP500)
...28 lbs (305/30-19) (Continental ContiSport 3)
...51.5 lbs Total
Hey Mark, the car looks great. Why did you choose 19's all the way around? I am getting new wheels once the stock tires wear out and have yet to decide on the sizes. By the way you have me thinking about removing my BSM.
Those look Great Mark excellent choice!! the stance after lowering it more is right on...congrats. Maybe Tony will forget about my rims now and jack yours
