Steering wheel spokes replacement
Anyone have the instructions from the factory manual or a how-to on doing this? I'm aware that the air bag needs to get dropped from the wheel, but do you need to disconnect it? Dealer wants about 2-hours labor to do this and we all know how we feel about dealers working on our cars.

There were some instructions somewhere on CF; you may find them if you do a search. It did involve disconnecting electrically. I had my dealer do it and he only charged 1/2 hour of labor. Well worth it to avoid the air bag.

Although this site is specifically to swap the A6 paddle wires, it has good photos on how to get the airbag off the wheel ... after that this is real obvious how to take the spoke covers off.
