I think I'll still make it unless I see rain in the morning, but I'm driving a dirty car. My car is a daily driver and I'm not washing it tonight if it's going to get rained on tomorrow.

Well I've made up my mind. I am out for tomorrow. My main interest here is driving on dry roads, the show and dining are secondary to me...I am sorry... I will miss the comraderie. So, for those of you who are going tomorrow, I hope your day turns out better than the weather prediction, and I should have gone. Enjoy!!!

Now, I am going driving in the mountains this weekend dammit!
I am playing the weather forecast odds, and will be going Sunday morning instead. Anyone interested let me know. I don't care about the place to eat, we'll find somewhere. Mostly, I just want to drive, and for my money and time, Sunday is the day.

Either post here or PM me, and we'll go from there...

Chris, I sent you a PM. I also have called several Georgia Crew members and it looks like Sunday will work for us too.

I'll call you on Saturday.

Good thing I checked this thread...I guess I will not be getting up at 4am tomorrow morning to meet you guys. However, I can get up Sunday

Same basic plan then??

Can someone PM me any changes in meetup locations/times? (Other than it being Sunday)

You know....it was suggested to go on Sunday instead. Now.......I would feel terrible cancelling the whole event, but I don't want to use a tank of gas cruising in the rain. I'm all for meeting up in the same place on Sunday morning instead of Saturday - running the roads, grabbing a bite to eat, and calling it a day.

thoughts??

We ended up having to do this on the last run, and we had a good turnout and a great time.....

I would hate to drive all day Sunday and then work on Monday? That's my day to chill out, supposedly it may rain Sunday too? I think tomorrow may be the way to go?

What do you think?

Saturday is a 40-50% chance of rain, Sunday only 20%.

If we run Sunday, we'll be done around 1-2PM and on our way home......

You know what, this is absurd. I have 20 people meeting up with me at 7am sharp in hamilton mill and now you guys are cancelling this thing absolutely last minute! I have NO route map, NO way of contacting these people, and now I will look like the bad guy when i tell them the run is off when they are already out there meeting up! Some people in this forum and this thread in particular need to GROW UP.
You cant schedule an event for over a month and then change it 8 hours before we planned on doing it just because you think your CARS will melt!. Did it ever occur to you water allergic fools that some people scheduled days off of from there important jobs for this mockary? Some people are traveling long distances to have a good time? Some people CANT do this on sunday. THis will be the last time i attempt to do anything with this "group".
You know what, its worth the money to join one of those "organized" clubs. Im sure there would be a lot less disappointments. DAVE.

To anyone that was going to attend, please pm me and maybe we can figure out something else to do

Okay......it's nothing about 'cars melting'. It's about spending $75 to fill up my car and drive 25 MPH in the rain. I plan these events to DRIVE my car. So you can lose this attitude and if you so desire to join a 'show and shine' club, go for it. When it rains, the result will still be the same. I've busted my a$$ for the past month to plan this - you think I want it to rain and cause all these issues????

C'mon man....you have any further issues with me, and how I run this, PM me.

Madman...I understand the frustration..but cmon, do you really like getting out and driving in he rain? As for people travelling distances for this, ....I am one of those and I have BTDT (been there done that). As much fun as I have driving my car, I also appreciate that there are other people that have been in the same situation wher they have tried to get the cars out an end up running them in the rain.

IMO - it is not as much fun owning a convertible and not being able to take he top down...wether it be hot, cold, wet, or whatever. It cannot always be "perfect" days.

And finally, on your "grow up" comment....yes, some PEOPLE do need to do this. Esp before posting at a place that is an open forum. CF was created for people of similar interests to get together and have fun and have fun and share similar interests. And if there are a few that a re "opting out"....so be it. If you want to post/start a thread, GO FOR IT. That is what CF is all about is finding people that want to get out and njoy wht we are all her for.

The Corvette.
