Lately I've been going straight to 10 rib on all the blower upgrades, since it was such an easy swap I figure why not 12?
So I figure I would show you guys a visual representation of the various widths.
6 rib:
6 versus 8:
6 versus 10:
8 versus 10:
12 versus 6:
12 versus 8:
12 versus 10:
12 versus the rest:
Now 10 rib fits without much messing around, I'm pretty sure 12 will work as well-you will need to get an alignment done for sure after as the rack will be getting spaced out another .5" inch.
The winter projects are already started!

Just saw something interesting.. GM put an 11 rib belt on the ZR1 for the blower, water pump and power steering pump, and a 6 rib for the air conditioning and alternator..
Mine shredded a rib on a stock-ish setup (before drivetrain mods) after a month.
Upgraded to ECS bracket, but still get embarrassing chirping/squeeking occasionally. Not sure which pulley went bad.
Can't wait to get an 8 rib setup and replace every pulley. 10 Rib would be nice, what's involved?
Just have to cut the front ear's off the crossmember that holds the steering rack. Use those as spacers and ECS makes relocation brackets. Cost of the 10 ribs does not cost much more than the 8 rib.
bump this up interested as well. if i could get a for sure idea that i wouldnt get belt slip i might stick with a procharger rather than twins.
The 10 rib setups I did this summer are still on there same belts, one car went to Carlisle and back and even spent a day road racing. An other one we tried to redyno today at our BBQ and it kept blowing off the tires when it hit boost. These cars aboth 800 rwhp plus and on the same 10 rib belt all summer. These are F1C and F1R blowers.
