FS HardbarUSA/LEMD Penske 8100 DA w/ Dual-Rate Springs
SOLD. Thanks for looking.
For sale are a car set of HardbarUSA/LEMD Penske 8100 double adjustable shocks. I bought these shocks from Gary Hoffman @ HardbarUSA directly off his C6Z. They are suitable for all C5 and C6 applications. I am asking $2500 (plus shipping) for the entire set up.
They have recently been back to HardbarUSA/LEMD for a checkup on the dyno and to have a couple of seals replaced (preventive maintenance).

These are a steal at this price. 39% off what the new equivalent (Penske 8300s) would cost you! This package works great, street or track. If you've been on this forum any length of time you've seen numerous people rave about them!

Make me an offer. These are already pretty close in price to the LG & DRM non-adjustable coilovers!
For those curious, I'm trying to get my racecar running again, so backing away from some of the Corvette toys. I will very likely put up some original Pfadt Pfattys (bent orange arms) shortly, too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the 8100s+springs ... they were working fine when I pulled them off.

Front is 14.75" from body cap to t-bar. Rear is 16.75" from frame mount to lower clevis eyes. Front has a 4" stroke, rear is 4.25". That's measuring the exposed shaft (and bump rubber) at full droop.
jstout appears to be selling 8300s. They're the double adjustables that replaced the 8100s. The 8100s dyno'd with less hysteresis than the 8300s. To respect HardbarUSA/LEMD intellectual property I will only share spring rates with interested buyers via PM. If you're serious about the package, PM me and we can talk.
As I said, the 8300s would be current spec and would cost you $4100 for the configuration equivalent to my 8100s that I'm asking $2500 for.
These shocks don't need a re-valve, or a dyno, they've recently been to Hardbar/LEMD. They're valved to match the included spring package, and happily compliment the C5/C6 cars.
I also have a fancy dancy Digital Shock Inflation tool for the Penskes if anybody is interested.
Opps. Realized you asked about weights. I can get them on a bathroom scales at best. The cans are surprisingly light. The shocks themselves are pretty light, but I can weigh them if you like. The majority of the weight comes from the springs... they're inverted so it helps with unsprung vs sprung weight.
