New Supporting Vendor - NCM Insurance Agency
Hello forum friends!
As some here know, my name is Adam Boca, and I work for the National Corvette Museum’s NCM Insurance Agency. I have been an employee of the NCM for over 11 years now and on this forum for 10 years in October. I was one of the founders of the Corvette Forum Cruise In and met my wife on this great forum. Finally, the NCM became a Supporting Vendor of the forum, and you will see the Corvette Store posting on here as well. I handle all aspect of the NCM Insurance Agency and any general Corvette question, or Corvette history question that you may have.
The NCM Insurance Agency was unveiled to the Corvette/Collector Car world in April and has been a huge hit! I am almost 48 state licensed, and our Under Writer (American Modern Homes Insurance Group) is 48 state licensed, so a policy can be written in almost every state.
We write Agreed Value insurance, so if your collector car gets hit, the price we agree on when we establish the policy is what you get paid. This is different than many of your standard auto insurance folks who write on Actual Cash Value or Stated Value (aka Agreed Cash Value). AMIG is an A+ company according to AM Best and pays out 90-95% of all claims.
We also have broader usage guidelines, various mileage options (1K, 3K, 6K, or Unlimited Miles depending on the state that you live in), one time liability charge, $2K spare parts coverage included in each policy, towing covering, trip interruption coverage, pet coverage, etc.
Our Collector Car Insurance Program is not just limited to old cars or Corvettes, if you have a new Corvette and limit your usage/driving you may qualiify as well.

I got an online quote, which was great by the way. But it says I can't use the vehicle for daliy use. I ride a motorcycle to work half the time, would that qualify me to be insured? I don't have another car.

Dave, we can only insure cars that are not used for daily use. Essentially cars that are used for Occasional Pleasure Use, car shows, parades, club events, etc.

Yes, TT kits, blowers, wheels and such are covered...NOS on a car is not something we will insure.

We do have annual mileage options. 1K, 3K, 6K, or Unlimited Miles depending on the state that you live in. Unlimited is not in every state, and it does not mean Unlimited Usage.

Adam I am interested and am picking up a 2010 Corvette this weekend. Your insurance should work for me as I put less than 4000 miles on my BMW over the past two years and expect to use the Vette similarly (on weekends). However, I do not have a locked garage. My car goes under a heavyweight (Autobody Armor) whenever it isn't used and most of the winter. If there is a way to waive the locked garage requirement I'd be interested in a quote.

Your insurance should work for me as I put less than 4000 miles on my BMW over the past two years and expect to use the Vette similarly (on weekends). However, I do not have a locked garage.
