I have an '07 C6 automatic and she won't start. She turns over just fine, however, she just won't fire. I checked for loose wires, blown fuses and made sure she was in Park. She was running great until today....Any ideas what my problem is?
had the same thing happen to me. turned out to be a loose connection for fuel pump. connection was located on passenger fender by door.....you never know
Any work done on the car lately? Maybe changing a tire?
Seems like I read something about a C6 fuel cutoff safety switch... located behind a panel in the trunk/hatch area?
On my 04 Mustang it was located in the trunk near the driver's side taillight... one time, an aggressive tire-change activated it and the car wouldn't start.
Besides checking for gas or bad gas (water), do you have spark? Smell the tailpipes for gas smell, that can tell you if you have gas going through the system, just one of many steps. Got to have gas AND spark to get it going if cranking over; if not, off to the dealer!
Thanks guys...
Flat-bedded "KILLER" to the performance shop that does my work. The first thing the mechanic did was to run a connection directly from the battery to the fuel pump and he got it to fire up...So, it looks like a loose connection in the wiring somewhere. I mentioned to him to check the connection in the passenger fender near the door. Always sumthin!

btw...the connection is blue in color located on passenger fender close to battery

Out of curiosity it's my understanding the Vette fuel pumps are located inside the cars fuel tanks. How exactly did the shop tech attach the test wires from the battery to the fuel pump on "Killer"?
Thanks guys...

Sometimes it is not a connection BUT a bad piece of wire with a defect in it somewhere between the beginning and the end. I have run into that problem before, it is a good idea to take a multimeter and check for continuity, but wire can fail later. I'm thinking that he pierced the wire with a pin and checked for continuity, I've done that before or ran a wire to this point if not much current draw. I assuming that any fuse in this circuit is checked to be OK.
