I was told that export model corvettes have different (ie. better) foglights than our models which are designed more for appearance.
However, I called a gm parts guy I use, at a local dealer, and he couldnt find any such thing.
Is this true? Is there a special export foglight part number?

I don't know in what year they started this but at some point Canadian bound C4s got daytime running lights. I believe they used the exact same bulbs and fixtures but they were turned on and off by the DTRL module.

There's an upgrade to the fog lamps. It's in 101 projects for the C4 book.

Is this the putting the slightly higher wattage bulbs in there?
If so, yeah ive already done that.
What Im seeking to know is if there is a different reflector out there for export models.
One source tells me yes, the other no.
Yes, I also realize it will likely be a pain to replace as it will prob. involve remove the bumper skin to do it.

I am not sure if you are joking, but several here have done it, especially racers to shed some weight of the headlights.

Thanks, I only posted the pic because I wasn't sure we can post a link to someone who isn't a sponsor. Some of these forum guys can be downright crabby about that. Yep that's the one I'm going with.

I bought the Xenon gas filled bulbs. Extremely bright, inexpensive and a 10 Year Warranty.Next best thing to HID's

I dont think export fog lights exist.
I dug through my parts CD for the C4.
There were export headlamp relectors, but not foglight.
This is a difft subject, but if you are interested in improving your headlamps, look up Daniel Stern lighting (on the internet) and talk to him.
I bought his bulbs, reflectors, and used heavy duty gauge wiring/relays what a difference!

Calm down....I'm quite aware they exist. I just would like to see a pic of the light they emit that doesn't suck.
