We've got the Blockit sound mats in our C6 coupe, including the two smaller ones that simply lay up against the bulkhead behind the seats.
I've seen posts where people have slid those small mats under the carpet on the bulkhead, but I'm not sure how to do it. The inboard and bottom edges of the carpet are loose, so that would make it easier to slide the mat into place. But the outboard side of the carpet is tucked under the plastic trim, I saw other comments that the carpet is hard to get back into place if pulled loose.
Can anyone give their experience with putting the mats behind the carpet?
BTW, the overall Blockit system seems to be an improvement. The interior seems a little quieter, and the Blose sound system sounds a little better.

I like the Block-it. That with a tire change from the runflats. Make it not so bad. plus the sounds can be heard better.
I just slipped the behind the seats ones under the carpet in a few minutes. Didn't seem bad at all.
The back one goes on top.

That's the only way I used them was laying them on top. Could not get them to fit under the carpet and have the carpet lay flat. No matter, I sold the entire set a week later.
That's correct but I didn't like the look. I put them under the carpet. The drivers side was easy and the carpet slipped back under the trim. The passenger side, not so easy because there are some cables/wires running behind the trim blocking the rug from slipping under back to its original position.
I think I will have to remove the trim to get it all the way back but right now it still looks better than laying them on top. I didn't really spend too much time on it and I think I will eventually get it back without removing the trim as I can get my fingers under the trim and may be able to push up the wires that are in the way.

Can this be done without cutting or taking alot of time and trouble?
Let us know how it comes out.

I spent all of 20 minutes total. There is no cutting, just pulling the carpet out from under the door trim and the center console back part (I don't know what it's called). The carpet just slipped back under the center console side and the door trim on the drivers side. The passenger side was giving me a problem as mentioned and I didn't have a lot of time to spend on ti.
I will let you know how it all works out. It does look good and more finished under the carpet.

Seriously, Rock'n Blue, did you do anything special to get yours under the bulkhead carpet?
I personally have not put my "behind the seat panels" under the carpet. Can't hardly see them so I left it. When I have time I might do it just so I can't explain it to customers who ask.
However there are a ton of people (many posted here on the forum) who have placed the panels under the carpet behind the seat.
Put mine under the carpet I did the rear and the two front under the carpet in 10 minutes. I don't see what the big deal is, carpet went back just fine under the trim.
Unless you are rather short and have the seats positioned well forward the Blockit panels behind the seats aren't really noticeable so do your self a favor and leave them sitting on top of the carpeting.

I disagree, sitting in the drivers seat, I could clearly see the panel behind the passenger seat (the passenger seat was all the way back), especially the top edge and the edge facing me. It wasn't a major issue but it's so easy to hide them that I decided that that's what I would do.
The next thing we need are pics on how to do this simple install of removing rug to install the 2 mats that go behind seats for those of us who are afraid of tearing up our cars or messing it up.
I put mine underneath the carpet, behind the seats, it took some coaxing but it worked. It makes it a little "puffy" but it looks and works 100% fine.
While there, I decided to yank out the entire cargo area carpet. I added some lightweight fiberglass/foil insulation in the cargo area and behind the seats. I then put the carpet back, with the Block-It on TOP of the carpet in the cargo & the Block-It UNDERNEATH the carpet behind the front seats.
The car is MUCH quieter and I don't get as much heat coming into the cargo area from the transmission.
