Default Modified C-6 Shifters?

Are the TPS 427 shifter and the RSD Snap shifter basically the same thing? Anybody seen both?

I think they are. I just installed the 427 shifter yesterday...am happy with results.

I ordered the 427 because it was cheaper and came with the black hurst style ball ****...

The 2 shifters are essentially the same.

TPS Motorsports' 427 Shifter is taken from one of the greatest sports cars in the world, the 2011 C6 Z06 Corvette, and we modify it to provide a shorter throw than the stock C6Z shifter. Unlike aftermarket shifters, the TPS 427 Shifter retains the nice smooth shifting action of the Z06 Shifter while reducing the length of the shift throws about 30%. The TPS 427 Shifter makes shifting more precise and generally makes driving your Corvette that much more enjoyable. To top off the great shifter we add a Hurst Shift **** of the color of your choice for only $219.99 shipped to your door

Default RSD Snap Shifter

Although When Mike Mak decided to copy our product Mike started with the same parts, the TPS 427 is not as short a throw as the RSD Snap Shifter. The idea behind the RSD shifter was to create a smooth shifting short throw shifter.

Compare the Pic of the RSD Snap Shifter

To the Pic of the TPS;

We sell this shifter with the Polished Billet Ball for $200 Shipped, with White or black Hurst Shift ball for $218 shipped, and $180 without a shift **** shipped here on our website;

Steve
Steve,

If I remember correctly the product was developed by Dale (Bout-x) and sold through him initially. Dale then had RSD sell his product because he wasn't a sponsor of CF. Dale then approached us to sell his product... TPS did not copy RSD's product. As you know Dale was no longer able to produce the product himself because he closed his machine shop. Dale then gave us the authorization to re-produce his his shifter. We then decided to play around with how low we wanted to cut down the shifter and concluded what we ended up with is what the majority of the people liked.

Here is Dale's thread regarding this shifter when it 1st came out.

So the TPS is slightly longer than the RSD, other than that they are OE late model Z parts? Is the stock C5 shift boot retained/modified???

Yes the TPS is slightly longer than the RSD... the stock C5 boot is retained unmodified. The TPS shifter is maybe 1/4" longer if that.
