It's hard to say but I doubt it. The 2011 Corvette launched with a $1,000 customer rebate and no dealer cash which was the first time C6 launched a model year with any incentive. If there's going to be anything I would think it would be more like that.

Here's the increase on each model for 2012:

Coupe +$505
Convertible + $505
GS Coupe + $905
GS Convertible + $505
Z06 + $1,175
ZR1 + $1,250

Included in that increase is $25 for destination which went from $950 to $975.

Well, I really was intent on ordering a 2012 GS with the museum delivery, but my schedule did not alow me to wait until maybe late July to take delivery at the museum.

So, I bought an in-stock 2011 from a sponsor here ... A much lower MSRP than the 2012 would have been, the $3,000 GM to Dealer Cash Back applied (which is now nonexistent), and a deep discount from the dealership.

As much as I would have loved taking the delivery of a new 2012 at the museum, I am now glad that I bought the 2011 (money wise)

I have read so much up to now as to what the changes are for 2012. I guess I am not sure what has been added to the 2LT and added to the 3LT for 2012. Someone please clarify... Thanks...

any word about the F55 package, I remember reading about it and found a snip-it

The 2012 Corvette Z06 offers two high performance packages for 2012, the F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control package which adds the ZR1’s high performance ride control system, Performance Traction Management, new black cup style lightweight aluminum wheels (19” front, 20” rear) and Michelin Pilot Sport2 tires.

I understand inflation, but having navigation shoved up my butt is a deal breaker for me. A lot of Vettes aren't driven much so why get the Nav, especially when you can get a portable (use in all your cars) for 100 bucks? Then they sell you Onstar which will also give you directions!

Completely agree. To add onto this, If I buy a C6, I intend to keep it for a long time and am betting that the nav system is going to look really hokey as time passes and they get better- kind of like a cassette player that Acura somehow put in my 2008 TL- but the TL will be gone soon. There is just something wrong to me with a sports car having to have a nav system- if I was buying one to track, it would be a liability.

So the power passenger seat is no longer available in the 2LT?

2LT now gets Navigation, Head Up Display, Bose Stereo with 1 year XM, and Bluetooth.

3LT gets all of the 2LT plus Sport Seats, Heated Seats, Telescopic Steering Wheel, Memory Package, Universal Remote, Luggage Shade and Parcel Net. The 3LT on the Convertible also gets a Power Top.

Ridiculous. MORE forced bundling and price hikes in the face of this historic recession.

Have the other options changed in price? NPP, Chrome Wheels, Museum Delivery?

To you it may seem that way, but its actually the opposite. GM looked at the percentage of cars sold with 3LT and with Navigation which is extremely high. And, by talking to the customers, most people who buy the 3LT GM found that most people buying the 3LT were buying it for Head Up, Bose and because they wanted Nav.

Buy making this change, they are actually dropping the price of a Corvette with the most ordered (and popular) items.

If you were a 1LT buyer before, nothing changed. If you were a 3LT buyer, chances are you'll be happy with the new 2LT and your price just went down. The percentage of sales of the previous 2LT were so small that not a huge number of buyers will be affected. Of course some will, but the bulk of Corvette buyers will actually benefit from a lower average cost with this package.

Dave,

If I missed it, I'm sorry, but what about two or more key packages that were offered on the '11 Z06s.

Two special ones were (1) The Carbon Package $4K (THIS was not the Limited Edition), and (2) the Z07 Performance Package $10k. Then even with the 3 interior, I think the Nav was $1,750 or there 'bouts. I believe the select ride came with one of the above, but I can't remember where the wild/mild exhaust came in.

Thanks Dave, I see the carbon package is the same price. I see the Z07 package went down $2,500, which makes me think the package is not as rich as last year's. Can you provide a link to where the individual packages are broken down to the individual components?

Cheers, Robert

My last two C6's came with the 3LT w/o Nav and it had a 6 disc in dash changer!

So does the 2012 3LT package comes with Nav with 6 disc in-dash changer or are we stuck with Nav and a 1 disc in dash player?
