How bad is it?(not that I really care, I installed a ttix engine in and that sucked )
My question is how much/where can I get harness parts from and what all is necessary to make the swap.
Thanks, jc

Sounds like fun. Yes I believe RPM provides a conversion kit. Spare yourself a headache and leave the brake pedal. You'll want to mount a nice cooler up front.

Oh I planned on it, I've seen that whole assembly, screw that
The pedal change over is relatively easy and takes less than an hour to do if you know how to do it.
The conversion process is a little more difficult going from a manual to an automatic, but still very easy to do if you have the right pieces and wiring schematics.
You'll just need to save your tune info and reflash the PCM for an automatic and then get the whole car retuned.
You should consider doing the RPM A4 / C6 Z06 set-up which would give you all of the strength you need.

On the C6 Z06 chg out for sure will not go wrong with it....
Everything I have is already built,300m everything, I'd either have to sell everything I have and start from scratch (because the money just isn't there) or find a trade...I live practically next to MIR so I might aswell go auto since the prior 3 times I've taken it I got owned by track prep
Sounds stupid but can someone give me a suggestion as far as the 6spd couplers. Ive seen people put solid ones in but are to good for drag racing? How do they do in driving situations? And why do some people only do one?

Some guys are under the impression that only use one aluminum coupler helps take up some drive line shock by using the rubber bushing up front and the aluminum in the rear.
Other school of thought is that only using one aluminum one puts an extra strain on the rubber one.
Not sure what kind of power you're making or plan to make. If you're going to go big, I'd do aluminum at both ends or be prepared to change out your bushings once a year.

We have converted several C5's to auto, it's not bad and well worth it as a track guy. Your lucky to be so close to MIR, thats a great track. Probably the best on the east coast IMO.
I'm going to.do the opposite from an auto to a stick over the winter let's see of how big a pain in the butt it is... Hoping that there aren't any huge hurdles in the process I am not sure about.. time will tell goodluck with the standard to auto swap
Here's a couple Z06 with RPM's 4L65 auto conversion. Last night me and another member doing some shakedown with our new builds. So much fun to drive and easy to go fast. BTW I use GM guibos and they work fine for me. I think they hold up better with auto because it's easier on the drivetrain.
