I am thinking of upgrading my Si while I have things apart this winter.

I changed from a V3si to a 1500sl which equals the V3 t trim.
I did because it is better fit from the ls-7. Just swapped out the blower head. The V-3si fit the ls-3 better. The 1500 definitely seems better in the upper end.

I'm not talking about the V3 T trim/1500SL

I'm talking about the Ti Trim which is between the Current T trim and a V7 YSi.

Maybe between T (Novi1500) and JT (Novi 2200) would be a better expectation.

Received this from Andy recently:

Quote:
Andy, are you allowed to give any info on the Ti trim?? Curious to know.

Sort of. I have one on my Trailblazer SS. The volute is machined out to a slightly larger ID and the impeller is larger. The T Trim already has a VERY efficient impeller design, so the improvement is not as noticeable as it was from S Trim to Si Trim a few years ago.

I agree. Most people just jump to YSi after the T though.

Not needed for my setup or rpm range. I'm only looking to do 850 rwhp or so and would like to stay self contained. Ti trim and Paxton 2200SL are the only options I am currently considering.

Yes. The V7 case will fit my bracket but will require some modification and likes to be spun harder then I would be spinning it. If I can do 850 at 15 psi I will be very happy with it and would prefer to stick with Vortech over Paxton for non-performance related reasons.

I thought YSI is a V7 series? 4" inlet 3" outlet? It should still be in a reasonable efficiency range with 850rwhp no?

Sorry should have been clear. You can only open up T-trim volute/scroll so much before you need a new casting. The JT is in V-7 family with stronger gears and better bearings, things that are going to be needed if mass flow is increased too much over T-trim, that is why I said between the two.

Yes YSI have 4” inlet while T is 3.75, S or Si is 3.5.
