Hey MeanJoe,
I pulled a broken stock rocker off of my 2008 Z that looked like the one you have without the extra metal "tabs". I ordered one new stock rocker to replace the broken one (just so I could move the car around, on to a trailer, etc. while I figured out what the heck to do ...), AND when the stock replacement came it looked like the one you have that does have the beefed-up metal tabs.
So, I just figured that GM made an upgrade to the piece by adding some additional metal. I was told it was still a LS7 rocker with 1:8 ratio. Seems to be working fine, but soon they are all coming out to get the CHE treatment !

This is quite interesting, there have been debates in other threads about rocker changes, and locating pads machined into the pedestals in the heads.
I added the link to another "valve guide" thread, I'm hoping the experts chime in.
